The stubborn marks can be very difficult to fade but not impossible. That’s where Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution comes in. We were recently sent over a complimentary sample of Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution to review, and let’s just say we know one more thing to be true. We absolutely love it. Ahead, we’re sharing our review of the Kiehl’s dark spot corrector, its benefits, how to use it, and more.
Contrary to what you may have heard, dark spots won’t improve at their own time. In fact, continued unprotected exposure to aggressors, like air pollution and UV rays, can make any preexisting dark spots even more noticeable. What does this mean for you? If you notice any discolored marks on your skin, you’ll want an action plan stat. The sooner you address dark spots, the better your chances of helping them fade in appearance.
The Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution is packed in a glass bottle with a dropper lid. The bottle does look fragile and I had also read that it breaks if you drop it by accident. You have to squeeze the lid of the dropper and deposit some of the solution on your hands to use it. The product is a clear liquid with a little gel-like consistency. It contains Activated C and I’m guessing that is Vitamin C great for lightening scars. The product is Silicone-free, paraben-free, and fragrance-free, so it’s good for sensitive skin-types.
Kiehl’s Solutions Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution visibly diminishes the number and intensity of discolourations while deterring the formation of spots on the skin’s surface. The highly effective ingredient in this treatment is activated C.
Kiehl’s Dark Spot Corrector Reviews
The texture of the serum is a bit slimy at first, but quickly evaporates into skin with a cooling, refreshing feel no sticky residue left behind. It can be used as a spot treatment over dark spots and should be paired with SPF during the day. You will notice a visible reduction in the appearance of dark spots they will be there but will be much less noticeable after about a week’s time than they were before the use of this product.
It helps to quickly correct dark spots and clarify skin tone. Traditional Vitamin C is unstable and quickly degrades when exposed to light, but the C that Kiehl’s is using is a new form (“Activated C” an ingredient exclusive to Kiehl’s labs) that doesn’t break down with exposure to light. The clear bottle proves it. Melanin fighters’ peony and white birch extracts and a tiny bit of salicylic acid for pore minimizing, plus soothing lavender, make a high-tech cocktail to banish or at least reduce dark and age spots. The fast absorbing liquid has a lovely, fresh, herbal scent and feels freshingly cool on your skin.
Dark and age spots are challenging to fade, but this new product is purported to penetrate deeply into the skin’s surface so that with continued use, spots lighten up and help deter more discolorations and dark spots from cropping up. That alone might be worth your consideration. Kiehl’s makes great products and this one can help if you are patient and use it regularly and properly.
Kiehl’s Dark Spot Corrector Cost
A serum that diminishes the appearance of dark spots $49.50 – $132.00. Kiehl’s is not available in Hyderabad (It is only available in Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai & Chandigarh), so you had to get this product through courier. However, they only courier their products to you if an order is placed for 4000 INR or more. You can place an order by calling them on their ‘Kiehl’s on Wheels’ numbers.
Kiehl’s Dark Spot Corrector vs Clinique
The best thing about Kiehl’s products is that the ingredient list is never like a flashback to AP Biology. The ingredients listed are always natural elements that you might have read Elnora harvesting in A Girl of the Limberlost. The star ingredient here is activated Vitamin C, which works to improve skin tone and clarity. Supporting ingredients white birch and peony extract work in tandem with the Vitamin C to restore collagen and facilitate discoloration correction. Applied via an eyedropper method, you can drop the formulation directly upon targeted areas.
While the gold standard in dark spot correctors, this is by far the best-reviewed product on the Sephora site with over 1,500 reviews and it’s also a best seller in Asia. Looking through the ingredient list, ascorbic glucoside, a stable form of Vitamin C is 7th listed. The other main ingredient is the proprietary CL-302 complex, which reverses the appearance of dark spots. As Dr. Chapas suggests above, Clinique’s dark spot corrector also inhibits the appearance of pigment formation and uses salicylic acid and glucosamine to breaks down the appearance of melanin through gentle exfoliation.
